I purchased the WDTV as a replacement for an Archos 605 the battery of which became swollen thus rendering the product non functional and a waste of money. This used to be my media streaming device. After Archos decided that it is normal for the above to happen and hence I should pay for repairs; I looked elsewhere. The WDTV live is by far a better product and the company is more reliable and stands by its products.
The only issue I have to date is the component video out. Anyone with an older TV be aware that component video will not work; seems only to work on newer TVs; nonetheless I am thrilled with this purchase as it has composite TV out and works well on my old TV which I am replacing next year.
