If you are looking at this product, you already know about it so just buy it. I havent found a video that wouldnt play. The response while flipping through videos on the USB is OK - not as fast as if it was on a computer but it worked flawlessly. You may not want to upgrade the firmware until they resolve issues but in my opinion, this is the product to buy. Don't bother with other brands as this is able to play everything I throw at it. I havent tried it in a network yet as I want to first try it as wireless. If wireless doesn't work well, I'll go with a wired connection. I like the ability to just plug a memory key in with the videos on it but I am using it with a USB 1 TB external plugged in and it worked great. What a pleasure to be able to watch all of the video's of the kids I digitized from the VCR and Hi-8 and bring it over to Grandpa's house to show him too.
If I can come up with some cons for this, I thought the user interface is a little boring and flipping through the videos was a little slow but dont use this comment as a reason not to buy it. You arent buying this for how the interface looks.
