I Received this product from Amazon 2 days back. It is very compact, almost similar to my WD Passport. I haven't tried the Live feature as i am still to buy a Wireless Adaptor (Don't want to connect the RJ45) that is compatible with this. Also the HDMI cable i ordered with this is still to arrive so i have connected to my Sharp HD TV using the AV Cable. Video quality is ok but that has to be due to the AV Cable, it should be of HD quality once i connect my HDMI cable. I tested it with my Memory drive and the video/picture quality was good.
Some point i would like to bring up (Probably with WD support).
1. The data in My WD Passport is encrypted, so when i connect it to the WD TV Live it does not find any media, Is there any way i can put the password and make the WD TV get my Media files? Or the only option is the store media file in a un-encrypted format so that WD TV Live finds them.
2. Through they do provide the list of compatible Wireless Network Adaptors, But i need a more extensive list. Where can i find that. Is there any specific blog or site apart from the one mentioned i can get it from? I wish WD would embedd the wireless adaptor in future relaese. I really do not like wires all over the place.
They do have two USB slots, One on the back and one on the side, I wish they can add more may be 2 more, in their future release.
