I bought the WD TV Live to replace my (hacked) Apple TV. The WD TV Live plays all the movie/video files I stored on NAS without any problems. Apple TV was having hickups with most 720p files, and sometimes even with standard definition videos (<400p). I was even surprised about how small the WD TV Live unit is, and also its ability to display Japanese folder/file names. (I suppose the multi-language support is standard these days...) Very easy to use remote.
